How can I get better at picking up on people's subtext in a conversation?

I wasn't really allowed to socialize until I was 9 and literally just realised this is a problem I have.

Finding out how to be a normal part of society is really hard for me and it has required a lot of blood sweat tears and rejection. So please don't be afraid of being blunt.

I am introverted and have social anxiety myself, and unfortunately it’s something you can’t really change. When you aren’t very verbal as a young child, the result ends up that your adult life will be the same. I think the biggest thing for me is I’m self aware of the fact that I’m a bit weird, quirky and different and that’s the standard I hold to myself. I am myself regardless of what others think and that’s how I present myself to the world. I can relate to that... because i wasn't allowed until two years ago... but I can really understand what people want... and the key to that was psychology... i was always interested in what people did and why they did that... so I always searched for a logical answer... I think you should listen to Jordan B Peterson
