Are New Yorkers panic buying shower gel?

New York has recently issued guidelines on what to do in the event of a nuclear attack. Apparently all you do is walk home and have a nice warm soapy shower to get that nasty radioactive dust off. I assume you do this after finishing work, shopping, picking the kids up from school etc.
But have these guidelines caused panic buying of shower products?

I agree this is idiocy from New York (what else is new). However, during the cold war NYC had approximately 70 megatons, mostly in one-megaton warheads, dedicated to it's destruction. The Soviets didn't like NYC almost as much as many Americans don't like NYC today.
