Throwing around a big name like Princeton means nothing.

What they are saying is obviously not true. It does NOT work the way this video claims. Basically the study is total horseshit (that's assuming there really is such a study). The government is actually a reasonable reflection of the people.

The government will sometimes go against a small majority of the people, but it won't go against a large majority like this video claims. The idea that there is a 30% chance of something passing that has NO support is completely absurd. That just doesn't happen. Something with no support, or even a small percentage of support, won't even make it through committee.

By midway through this video he said so many things that are total BS that I quit watching.

I already said why that claim isn't true. It just doesn't work that way. This is a clear case where people can't see the forest for the trees. They pour through a bunch of numbers but don't use common sense. The study itself had a lot of criticism from other university elitists.

Do you mean to tell me that Congressmen from a district that's 70-80% Republican or 70-80% Democrat won't have any difference in the bills they introduce and vote for? Come on now! There is a HUGE difference and it doesn't take a study to know that.

Go look at the Congressional Record yourself. See if you can find bills that passed that had almost no support. See if you can find bills that didn't pass that had widespread support.

The guy who did the video is even worse than the study itself. He's just another uninformed idiot spouting nonsense.

Yes I have looked at Congressional records many times. You can see a full list of every bill. Go look for yourself.

You are ignoring what I said. Do you really think there is no difference between Republicans and Democrats? You have never noticed that so many floor votes are along party lines? If what this guy claims is true really was, you would NOT see that. The Congress is divided like that because the people are divided like that.

That guy starts off wrong from the start. He shows a graph with what he THINKS it should look like, not what's realistic or even makes sense. You would NOT expect to see a nice 45 degree line like he shows. He wasn't even using his brain when he said that. You would expect to see an S shape that is almost horizontal in the lower left, then sharply increases toward the middle, and continues to increase until it flattens again.

One problem with his graphs and the Princeton study itself is that it doesn't take into account all the bill that are never get introduced in the first place. The bills that have NO support don't get introduced and are not part of the data set. Then there are the bills that were introduced but never made it out of committee. They never made it to a floor vote.

Yes George Washington owned slaves like many people did back then and he was CONFLICTED about it. He had them freed in his will. That was actually revolutionary for his time era. Also Winston Churchill was such a “failure” he managed defend the entire UK from a Nazi German invasion that was knocking on his door step. Other leaders wanted to give in to hitlers threats but Churchill stayed tough the entire war.
