There was a time when I was out late; had been all day, and was finally free and desperately hungry. The first food place I passed was a Taco Bell, which had a long line in the drive-through, so I figured I'd go inside, since it'd be faster.

Ahead of me was a guy, obviously stoned out of his gourd, who got the front of the line and stared at the menu silently for FIVE WHOLE MINUTES, which is a really long time when you're hungry, and then the cashier said "Can I help you?", and the guy said- AND I QUOTE: "Um... Uh... Um... I'd like a million tacos. And then two tacos, please." And behind him, I'm wondering if ANY court would convict me.

So while I think it should be legalized, you need SOME restrictions, like booze; if you're going to drink, designate a driver, and if you're going to smoke, designate a food-orderer.

Absolutely, and decriminalize all other drugs too. Limit lawful punishment to those whose behavior breaches other laws as a result of their use or misuse. That would save the country a lot of money, free thousands of entrepreneurs from prison, and allow us to focus on people who actually have problems rather than waste time and resources on casual and responsible users.

I see no reason to not do so.

Here in Thailand they 'opened' only in January this year, and since last month there are only few practical limitations. People now grow cannabis openly, where before they were hiding the plants.

Guess what: there is no increase whatsoever in crime, social irregularities or other ''accidents'' - that had not been present 'before' as well.

It only took the US fourteen years to overturn alcohol Prohibition when it was a flagrantly obvious failure. Why it has taken over 80 years to. acknowledge the failure of marijuana prohibition, I can’t explain.

And there is virtually no difference between medical and recreational use. The dispensaries in Honolulu have the names and phone numbers of the concierge doctors, who will write anyone a prescription for “anxiety,” right in the front windows.
