Why am I seeing a non-insignificant volume of questions by women in Gen Z demonizing video games?

I think the problem is the many Gen-Z men who are addicted to video games to the extent that it interferes with career success and relationships. A little bit of gaming is okay and some women love video games, but most women do not get the same pleasure out of them as men. You are correct that many women are hooked on social media to an unhealthy degree, but women tend to select men in dating more than the other way around, especially with reduced adherence to monogamy, so it doesn’t matter that this is unfair.

The type of woman (or man) who hates video games, is usually a talentless person who hates having to practice any skill to get good at something.

This type of woman is lazy, and as such, usually has lower intelligence as well, and whats happening is, as video games become more and more popular, these women can't get a man, because no self respecting gamer wants to date/marry a non gamer.

So these women are foolishly trying to demonize gaming so they don't end up alone, but it will only ever achieve the opposite effect.

Feminist upbringing has meant that a large proportion of Z / late millennial males are de facto scared of females. The current females who grow up with a hypertrophic ego are all due to them and any accusation they make against males in court turns into a sentence. Therefore, what the adult mgtow have been professing for some time was created, it was created in a natural way without underlying ideologies. Video games are a huge counterbalance to the attention women can get from men. This is why they hate them.

Like anything else, it can be an addiction and carried too far. Many years ago, I was chatting with my best friend’s girlfriend, in their bedroom, while he and another friend were in the next room playing video games. I suggested she loudly fake an orgasm and see if he would get up from his video game.

She said he wouldn’t, so why waste her breath. I’m a boomer. Our parents similarly criticized us for watching too much television. Abraham Lincoln’s father thought he read too much. This was seen as idleness like watching television or playing video games.

Back when I was 19, I had a co-worker who would come to the gas station where we both worked, on his day off, and spend hours tinkering with a perfectly good car. His gorgeous girl friend would be standing around bored out of her mind. One time I told her, loud enough for him to hear it, “I have next Friday off.”

A few minutes later, after they were arguing about something, she walked over to me and asked, also within earshot of him “Did you say you had Friday or Saturday off?”

He got the hint and they left.

And why do many in the younger generation act like they would have anything at all if not for the generations that came before them and laid the ground work & helped maintain civilization? I even respect our ancient ancestors. They deserve it. Western civilization is in decline and likely to collapse because people became too self-centered. This isn't all the fault of the youngest generation (s). It started slowly over decades and snowballed. There were probably people in the Roman Empire 10 years before it collapsed who promoted ideas that were weakening society and thought anyone who disagreed was a buzzkill too... They had a sad life and never got to see the true Era of video games Super Nintendo, Atari, Sega, N64, Dreamcast, play station, Xbox and PC. So they don't understand and true the richest people play video games and not only that people have became rich off no lifing video games.

Because women in Gen Z finally have access to longitudinal studies about the deleterious effects of gaming on the age peer males who are supposed to protect and provide for them as the man of the house. They see what that ends up getting them, and they don’t like it. They’re watching boys in their classes with their high school or college who can’t lift their own suitcases and who cower from even the slightest loud noise in real life. As an observer I’ve noticed that there are probably more relationships outside of normal age peer range now than I have ever seen previously, because the young women who know they have something to offer to men aren’t getting what men should be offering them from people their own age.
