Yes 👍 , Some charge fees cause it all depends on the bank account you signed up with for example: If you signed up with a bank account that you need to maintain a balance monthly $500.00-1000.00 they may charge a $3.50 fee to withdraw regular cash out of your account also if you don't have a monthly direct deposit that can be another thing too these are some reasons banks charge monthly fees.
to make millions of dollars profit for years they had no charges then they said we need more money so service charge the shit out of everything and they are still adding charges. That is why i am in creadit unions for my banking I make more and pay less interest car loans etc
Yes, I would hate paying money for some institution to make interst out of the money in my account. Like z double whammy!
Luckily, my main accounts are in UK, where banking is free as long as you are in credit.
Why do banks charge fees?
Because they can. They make money off your deposits. It costs them nothing to hold your money in their bank.
They charge you because they can. That’s the only reason.

They don't make enough profits by fooling around with OUR (own) deposits, keeping customers on their leash with loans for all kinds of useless things, and looking after all these repossessed items they greeded together.
Their economically suffering managers need to eat.
Banks desperately depend on banking fees to survive.
Because you let them. It's pretty simple to just not use banking products that charge monthly fees. Even if all banks went that way, you could always buy a safe and bolt it into your foundation at home and skip the fees.
I don’t pay fees with mine and I make interest on current account.
not sure if banks charge people these days unless hitting an unapproved overdraft.
How are "yes" and "no" answers to "Why do banks charge monthly fees?"
And why would anyone bank with a bank that does charge monthly fees?
i remember when i was younger banks actually paid you interest if you had an account with them and enough money in the bank , now they charge insane fees just for having an account
I always do business with banks that offer free checking and no fees. My credit card also has no fees.
Your bank shouldn't charge you anything unless you are overdrawn. They already have the use of your money. It's all bullshit.
Because they are providing you services. Go with a credit union if you want fewer fees.
