If you follow politics then you should have found the political trends by now. Some people (on both sides) in congress and senate always vote against the other party or sometimes join everyone else if the bill is bipartisan enough. These republicans are the ones who always vote against anything the opposing party proposes. It's a political game, not a personal thing. Democrats play the same game when Republicans are in control. It's all a political game. Some call it "Political Theater".

I always vote republican because I agree with majority of their policies and common sense beliefs.
Also, you need to read everything that is included in the bill. It's not black & white. A lot of things go into every bill. And depending on what goes into it, some of those things can be very problematic. The bill can be called whatever they want. It's what goes into the bill that counts. 8 republicans and 1 democrat did not vote at all. No one showed be locked up.

I don't know many of the names on that list. I think we can be pretty certain that Matt Gaetz is one. With the others, it's probably more likely that they're just defending their sex-pest buddies (like Gaetz), or cynically trying to obstruct everything the Democrats do (as usual).

It’s possible. Maybe even likely. But unless you read the entire bill, you’ll never know. Never in modern history has a bill been passed that addressed only one issue, despite the title of the bill. Maybe this bill includes provisions for things other than sex trafficking prohibitions that those politicians just couldn’t support. You could read the bill and try to figure it out. You could try to contact them and ask. You could follow journalists who might be set on getting to the bottom of it. Or you can just keep making grossly ignorant assumptions with little to no real information.

There was a lot of extra wasteful spending added to this bill. It did not really serve the American citizens, it only enriched democrat insiders and illegal aliens.
