Ya she got caught in Russia she’s going to prison for 9 years. Guess what if she was caught in the Philippines she would have been executed. If she was in Japan she would have gotten 5 years same with most countries and that’s for there citizens she isn’t a citizen of Russia so there treating her more harshly because she’s a foreign national if you don’t want to be going to prison for a long time due to weed stay in countries where weed is legal.

I'm not complaining. I don't wish harm on anyone, but Griner smuggled weed into the country and was extremely anti-American. I don't feel sorry for Griner one bit. The only issue is, is America obligated to help a fellow US citizen anyway, even if Griner was a complete POS who deserves to rot there. I think it sets a bad precedent if America doesn't try to help, regardless of how sh*tty the person was, or not.
