Do you wish people would reach out more?

I hear all the time about people who kill themselves because they feel like nobody loves or understands them, and my first thought is, I know dozens of people from church and school who would love to offer emotional support to a suicidal teenager and it’s sad these victims do not know that there are people in this world who care about them.

Self isolation and self harm are quite common among patients that suffer from mental illnesses like depression. Yes, it will be better if they know they can receive help, more often that not if someone disappear without contacting people there is a high chance they encounter something bad or isolate themselves, it's also up to everyone to look out for others too unfortunately because those people can't help themselves under those conditions.

It's a great idea, but the people who are closest to them need to speak up and get them help. Sometimes no one may realize what they're going through, though.
