Presumably what you are refering to are the Nazi's but German and Nazi are not synonyms and you would do well to learn this point.

There was anti-semitism in Germany even before the Nazis. Martin Luther was ant-jewish. Nazis didn't invent German anti-semitism. Read some European history textbooks.

Certainly the only reason you or I know his name now is because of the monk label, no gives a shit that he a was a German.

they've done an amazing job getting compensating for the holocaust. They had many panels about the effect of nazism and they've made laws to prevent it from happening again. Everything related to nazism is banned and their laws prevent the resurgence. If only we would learn from them and do the same regarding our own terrible history of slavery. We have never addressed what we have done to black people in the past the way Germans have addressed their antisemitic history.

That is not true. Neo-Nazis still exist in Germany. And Americans are routinely taught about the evils of slavery. We have panels about the evils of slavery all the time. Slavery is banned in the USA, for example.
