Girls, if you were a man who got falsely accused of rape how would you clear your name in the court of public opinion?

I have seen this happen and it's horrible. When I was in high school there was a guy that two girls liked and he ended up with one of them, and the other one went completely over the edge. To get back at the other girl she accused her father of raping her during a sleepover at their house. Before it was all over the guy lost his job, his wife divorced him and he was basically a pariah in the community. The girl ultimately told a friend she made it up and the whole thing blew up, but the damage had been done. I don't know what happened to him, he moved away but his family still lives in the same neighborhood. It makes me sad every time I think about it. I don't think anything serious ever happened to the girl because she was under age.

I was falsely accused of rape. The allegation was that it was consensual at first and she took consent away in the middle of sex. She freely admitted to police she NEVER said no, and was actively participating. She said I pinned her down, she wrestled me off, got on top of me, started riding me, gave me head, and that I fingered her against her will, while showing me how to finger her. I did 18 months before going to trial and being found innocent. No compensation, no reimbursement, no apology. They didn’t even have probable cause; She freely admitted she never said no and was actively participating. Every fucking day I think about torturing and murdering her and the district attorney who could’ve refused to prosecute, but didn’t. I turned 20 and 21 in there. And I’m not supposed to be angry? Prosecutorial immunity and police immunity make it very hard to sue, and not too many lawyers practice 1983 lawsuits. (1983 is the statute you may sue police.)

You my friend should seek therapy to work out those issues. I have heard too many stories like yours from other people I know and some I don’t. It’s gone a little too far. I would say you have to get out in front of it. Use the media to yell from the rooftop that you’re innocent and the other party is lying. Say that you are willing to testify on your on behalf in court to the truth. Whatever you can do to tell others it’s not true.

Not much to be done. Once something like that is out there, even if your name is cleared some people will still think you’re guilty, and the whole Johnny Depp v Amber Heard trial is a great example. Accusations like that are so tarnishing.

Honestly I think the ones who do it are spiteful and cold. Maybe he rejected her, or she’s upset about whatever and says he raped her as a means of revenge. I also know women who have sex with a man and feel so regretful or ashamed they did it, or maybe fear getting in trouble or things like that so they lie. They are being selfish and not thinking about the fact that they ruin a persons life for good based of their emotions they can’t control or guilt they can’t live with.

A very simple DNA (rape) test will prove categorically whether a guy is guilty or not.

Sadly even if proven Not Guilty, there will always be the judgmental assholes spouting their slander and libel crap.

The DNA test shows whether the sexual contact happened but never whether it was consensual or not.
A man accused of rape will be forever unhappy even if found not guilty. He might end unemployed, hated and lonely.

So no rape kit by was performed to search for DNA evidence, if it didn't happen any physical evidence would be manufactured, but only you know that. The problem is the court of public opinion usually instantly believes the accuser, once that minds made up it's very difficult to disassemble. I've seen people who in face of conclusive evidence to the contrary, still believe he's guilty.
