Please explain why.
I pick "yes". It's positive. It leaves no room for misinterpretation. It can be affirming. It signifies agreement.
No is negative, although I can respect honesty.
Maybe is non-committal. It is missing information and that bugs me. It's like a riddle.
I want to know why not a clear yes or no. It can be a way of blowing something off without being up front and honest. "Maybe" is my least favorite.

I like saying "no." It makes life easier, it establishes boundaries, it controls responsibility, and while people complain it's negative, its simplicity and resolute nature isn't as open ended as "yes".

This excellent book was also made into a comedy starring Jim Carrey, which doesn't quite encompass the depth and importance of Danny Wallace's (true story) journey.
Yes is acceptance, yes is seizing opportunity, yes is opening doors and walking through them.
Yes is also significant to me as an improv (theater) artist. Yes is the principle on which we build a fantasy together. If I come out onstage with fellow actors and throw an idea out there "You're all a bunch of barnyard animals!" and they say yes to this idea and build on it, we have a scene. If they deny (say no, we're not!) then they have reduced us back to square one and are now forcing me to either come up with another idea, or come up with one themselves. If they come up with an idea "We're actually a group of traveling monks who are here to teach you about wine making", and I go with it, again, we can build a scene. But if I say "no" again, dismiss the reality they are trying to build, again we are back at square one, having gone nowhere with two great ideas.
There is actually an improv game for practicing this principle, called "Yes, and..."
To me, yes is infinitely more interesting and engaging than "no" or "maybe".

definitely maybe...
it can be more playful, and a tease... open to many possibilities as well
and it can have different tones as well as hint to either yes or a no, without ruling out either
it could make things much more interesting in a very specific way that I like
depends on the context of the situation though, but I did have one specific in mind, lol I voted ‘Yes’.. because Yes is positivity. Yes is openness. Yes is action. Yes is ‘can do’. Yes is that little three letter word that allows for possibilities to become reality! ☺️

I like hearing definitive language period. Either "yes" or "no".
That’s not really possible without context…
Maybe… “Maybe”. “Maybe” suggests a possibility. (Maybe.)
Did I maybe say “maybe” too many times? (Maybe, maybe not.)
“Maybe”, because very little of the human experience is perfectly cut and dried. Lots of gray areas, caveats “if, ands, and buts”. I say “maybe” and “depends” a lot. Every reasonable person should, in my opinion.
yes, when I ask my wife for something i like to hear yes a whole lot more than an indefinite maybe.
I think classic cock teasing is all three. The girl indicates YES, then she indicates NO but finishes with MAYBE which allows her to cycle through again. I'm on a hair trigger for a week later.
No, because you can get the funniest most outrageous reactions from people using that word.
I don't like maybe.. to much room for error. And no is so negative
No, especially when "no" doesn't actually mean "no"
Impossible to pick without context.
Do you want to make love?
Do I have cancer?
Yes or no has to be close in the race. Maybe is lagging.
Depending on the question!
Nothing is universal.Maybe... cuz just about anything is possible.
I like to hear "Yes"
Yes...
Yes and, or yes but.
YES.
I prefer no
