First of all I am completely against the government engaging in executing its own citizens on the principle of the thing. Its something I think corrupts the establishment and can very easily be misused. Secondly, I do not think the death penalty in any form is justified. It does not accomplish anything such as how it does not discourage future crime or solve the damage they caused but critically we also can't 100% prove they are the guilty one which means we will execute innocent people which is a complete deal breaker.
