Westerners have low birth rates, below replacement level. Replacement level is 2.1.

Overpopulation is really coming from Africa (4.2 birth rate) and the Middle East (2.9 birth rate).

If we’re talking about the world population, the control needs to happen there. If we’re talking about the population of Western countries, the only control needed is border control to prevent mass immigration from those places.

Those places have a higher birth rate because their children have a lower chance of surviving to adulthood and having kids themselves. How many of those born in the Middle East and Africa actually survive to have kids is another thing to factor in.

That’s true, but the population is still rising in both of those areas due to those high birth rates.

In 2020 Africa had a population of 1.34 billion. By 2050 it’s projected that they’ll have a population of 2.5 billion.

In the Middle East today they have a population of 500 million. They’re projected to have a population of 724 million by 2050.

I think the American government (or at least any person with influence, doesn't necessarily need to be political) should focus on doing a lot more regarding population control. I heard the global population is going to peak at around 9 or 10 billion, the USA is already near half a billion.

I think educated people, especially women, should be taught from a young age that the best thing they can contribute to society is having a big family. Limiting the fertility of average and intelligent people isn't going to do anything beside insuring that the world will be inherited by borderline idiots, which is already happening and that's a hell best avoided.
