When a foreigner tells you to talk English?

And you're accused of being racist lol... What did they expect when they come up to a scottish person and demand they speak English? A warm hug and banners with balloons...
I think the motto is, when visiting someone's country maybe first find out how they speak and what's offensive to them.
I don't mind someone confusing me from England as we have se culture etc but I do find it offensive someone telling me to speak proper English, when my dialect is scots

I got 'ahll chib yer dug' from my niece, it means I'll stab your dog but not in a serious way, its as a joke incase people think scottish folk are mad dog stabbers

I don't think people would go to the lengths of finding out how people speak and whats going to offend them. I've never done it when visiting a country and I assume you probably haven't either? However, telling anyone to speak English is rude, if they think you're not speaking English/are foreign people can't expect everyone to be able to comminicate in English, I hate that.

People living here 400 yeas speak English we come in hundreds of cultures and we were not allowed to keep our languages and lost most of our cultures too. So please be respectful and speak English. We dont like hearing hundreds of other languages it makes us feel like we are in a foreign country not our country. Its quite irritating. Same for the workplace its English.
