I was just thinking about this today! Like a few hours ago! Most of the smart kids in my classes are boys; like three smart boys for every one smart girl. However, none of the girls are really slow/behind either, and only boys are the slow ones/far behind the others. Most girls are in the middle, with a few very-rare smart ones. While boys tend to be both the smartest and dumbest. And even the smartest boys are just hard working and put in all the effort and hard work, while the smart girls just tend to be naturally intelligent/gifted and don't actually try hard or study or anything (meaning they're likely to plateau quicker, once they get to an advanced enough environment that matches their skill level).

So yes, I'd say it's true, even if not just using my anecdotal experience.

Yeah, on average, men and women are similar in smartness and dumbness.

But it is true that men occupy both extremes. Probably because men are generally more bold and aggressive, while women are generally more cautious.

Yes, it's a fact that the dumbest people tend to be men. But men are also smarter than women, on average, by 3 - 5 IQ points. Not good or bad, just a fact.
