No. There are some REALLY DUMB people of all genders in the world. It's defo never smart to generalise anything into "men traits" and "women traits". Especially something that is less biological. Being smart depends on many factors like access to education, finance, social class. Nothing to do with gender at all.

Reason maybe many men appear to have been smarter was for many many generations only men were given education.

It's a huge read but I highly recommend the book "a new genus: Mary Wollstonecraft". She had to live in times very very hard on women and fought for women's equal rights. Especially in education.

I do need to contradict you as it is a misleading meme that education was only given to boys and girls were excluded. It is trotted out without thought.

Closer to the truth is that most boys and girls were excluded from education for most of the past. It is true there were early public schools but they were public in the sense that the schooling wasn't limited to the sons and daughter of a particular family under the tutelage of a governess.

Public schools were public in the sense of any family could pay to have their children educated at it. The cost was excluding of course.

My state of Victoria claims the oldest public (as in free) education act as 1872 and all children (boys and girls) had to attend from 6 to 15. But there were schools set up before then. One was on my families farm. It was a hut with a dirt floor and the walls were hessian bags dipped in cement. It did have a corrugated iron roof so it was a dry hut. The teacher lodged at the farm house.

The people of the farming district wanted their children to be educated so they made it happen, as country folk do, only a few years after the district was settled. And no it wasn't just the boys.

It was just in the mid 1800's that the concept of universal education came to fruition and the lower economic classes valued it highly for both their boys and girls.

Before then education was mostly an aristocratic/upper class thing. And girls were educated too. Those governesses came from somewhere. Girls were expected to at least be able to read and play music.

There are smart men and smart women, just like there are dumb ne and dumb women, it's wrong to make a generic comparison.

Having said that, there are differences between men and women. Most noticeably, men are visual learners and communicators, while women are verbal and textual learners and communicators. That means, on average, a visual task is generally done better by a man, while a verbal/textual task is generally done better by a woman.

There's a legitimate reason why most military leaders are men (visual) while most public relations people for companies and government are women (textual/verbal).

A lot comes down to the chances a person has in life. Both men and women with the right chances can achieve amazing things. Anyone saying one sex is better than the other is not looking at it correctly, before 1800’s yeah women never really had a chance.

Men are not at all smarter than women. I think that men and women have different abilities and priorities, which leads to different kinds of being smart. I'm convinced, although women are far from innocent, that the world in general would largely benefit from women in leading positions.

On average its the same as the average man and woman are at the same level of intelligence. the thing is that men have a wider bell curve. This means there are more men who are complete idiots that are dumber than majority of women but also more men who are smarter than most women. So statistically speaking men are both smarter and dumber than women leading to the average man and woman being equal in intelligence.

tend to be more opinionated and definitely are more vocal. Most of that, I think, is more of a function of the ego and is perhaps a reflection on insecurity so the ego needs to make itself heard. I doubt any scientific study would show men to be any smarter than women given the same background and education. I think that's even true in the traditionally "masculine" seeming fields like Math, Sciences etc. There is no biological reason for that to be true
