I think the desire for nuclear weapons as a means of protecting a country is beyond silly."in my opinion", it won't be winter they won't be survivors least not as we know it because everybody with a nuke is going to put it in the air it won't be just one or two nuclear weapons and drop if two major countries go to war and the nuke's come out everybody who's got one going to throw there's in some of these directions because you can't afford to have them sit on the ground if Russia in the United States for the launch half the nuclear arsenal I doubt Earth would survive the only real answer is to eliminate them all that's my opinion God help us everyone on the ground

India has nukes but they don't have any deployed. The only countries with deployed nuclear weapons are the US, Russia, UK and France. The US and Russia still have a large number but it's not nearly as many as they had before the SALT and START treaties drastically reduced the numbers.

I never said India or Pakistan didn't have nukes. I said they didn't have any deployed. I think you are confusing having nukes and having missile systems capable of delivering those nukes as being deployed.

Some of the world's foremost experts say that India has NO deployed nukes.

Why do you have such a hangup on this anyway? As far as I'm concerned the entire world needs to get rid of all their nukes - every single one of them. The numbers have already been dramatically reduced. That needs to continue, not go the other direction.
