Why can't forced Birthers understand that abortion is not murder?

Under US federal law abortion is not defined as murder, it is defined as a legal medical procedure and please don't come at me with saying, "well slavery was legal", because like abortion, slavery was seen as a states rights issue until the pro-slavery side forced the federal government to pass the fugitive slave act to force abolitionist states to send the runaway slaves back to their owners just like how you forced the government to not recognize abortion as a constitutional right.

Something about the act of killing an unborn human being seems a bit too close to murder; so, it's understandable how they would be confused.

except it is not a human being yet and they seem to think life begins at conception when it doesn't because as many couples who want to have children can tell you that it takes multiple times or months to get pregnant just for the first child if they are lucky.

Then what is it, if not a human being? by the way "fetus" is simply latin for offspring, in case you were going to use that euphemism... Same with the word "termination," in case you wanted to gloss over the more appropriate "killing." "Abortion" also means to "arrest development..." Do you know how abortions are performed? Even early abortions... how do you think they "arrest" development, other than what is plainly killing. So, if that "clump of cells," or "fetus"/offspring has a heart, brain, lungs, it's own unique human DNA sequence, etc. and someone kills it... Can your simple brain understand how this killing of human life seems a lot like murder? Murder is simply unlawful killing, which is why the state has monopoly over it's legal designation- but not the moral designation.
After all, you can murder someone, the cops can mishandle evidence resulting in a mistrial to where you are not legally deemed a "murderer," but we all know you're still a murderer... I'm also glad you brought up the aspect of slavery, which was justified because "they're not technically people," or the holocaust, "because they weren't technically people."
So, the legal designation has very little impact on how people view this act.
