Why do people not see abortion as murder?

People will often say, "But it's just a clump of cells", but according to their philosophical paradigm (i. e. atheistic materialism) so is everyone else, so... does that mean we can kill anyone we want? Because, you know, we're all just complex chemistry of a certain sort, "molecules in motion".

No, it's wrong. It's wrong because "foetuses" are human too, they're alive, they grow and develop, and it makes no more sense to kill them than if we were to try to argue that infanticide is fine, because infants are too young to understand what's happening to them anyway.

I know somebody that had a preemie. This baby was 9 weeks early and was only 4 pounds at birth. He was in an incubator and if I stuck my finger through the port in the side he would grab my finger and squeeze it. He is a happy and healthy baby, walking around and starting to talk. I never really thought too much about abortion but now I realize that a lot of people would have considered aborting this little person. IOfcoiurse it is yurder.

It is not people like you to tell people how to think. God gave us all free will and people can think for themselves. Plus you way have to abort the fetus at an early term, to ssave the save the life of the mother. It maybe to early in the gestation for the fetus to sevive.

That decides if it is or is not allowed.

No. I disagree with you. Morality is important. Government can be wrong. If you would live under Kim Jong Un, he could legally in his country execute people on whim. The same if you would live under Hitler or Stalin. They did many horrible things, yet legally according to their own law.

Law means nothing in discussion about morality.

Death sentence is a punishment for crime, abortion not, because baby did not committed crime. In this I, as a catholic, believe in God's law and absolute truth. The Bible says "Thou shalt not kill" which means do not murder, but the death penalty is even commanded there: (Exodus 21:14) "But if anyone schemes and kills someone deliberately, that person is to be taken from my altar and put to death."

I do not believe that republics can, by majority of votes, decide absolute truth. Only God does.

A lot of people do not see unborn children as human so they can justify being a horrible person. It's how they cope with bad choices.
