Have you ever had a good idea for a product, idea, or invention and later you saw your idea on a tv commercial or at a store, etc?

That happened to me. When I was a young mother to my infant son, he would get sick a lot and it seems I was always dealing with sheets and clothes that were soiled with sick stuff on them. I wished that the maker's of Lysol products would make detergent to put in the washer to kill the germs. Recently I've seen commercials on tv that Lysol finally came out with detergent that kills germs 44 years after I thought of it.

In the late 1980's, scanners and fax machines were in their infancy. I realized that there was much duplication between copiers, scanners, and fax machines and I envisioned a three-in-one machine. Of course, in retrospect, I think the idea was rather obvious and I'm not surprised that others had the same idea.

What about colored salt? If you had blue salt, you'd know how much salt you had already sprinkled on your mashed potatoes! I've never seen that one. Or in late June and early July, manufacturers could sell cans of whipped cream that came out of the can in three red, white, and blue stripes.

When I was in junior high school I designed a device that would spray liquid under pressure but it was refillable and had a pump device that could create the pressure. It was able to be reused. Years later my wife buys that same exact device to spray olive oil.

yeah I had idea on fund then they copy it but many founds copy it that would change upper layer. so they lost effection but still keep the name and change content

I think that is cheating but they often do that.

My current idea would be to put the fuel filler location on the same side of the cars.
This would eliminate the mix ups at the gasoline pumps!
