Definitely. That teacher went way out of line. First of all, its sad that he could not respect the students wishes for how to address them but the fact that he caused a scene and had to be put on administrative leave by the school is deplorable. Furthermore he kept going back to the school even when he was no longer allowed on the premise which is the reason why he was arrested.

While this started with the teacher not wanting to use the correct pronouns, it was his following actions and escalations that resulted in these consequences for him which I argue is entirely his fault for being an idiot.

Seems like the Irish will have to start home schooling their kids or using private schools if they don't stand up for themselves. The WEF wants to turn your kids into tranny eunuchs. Last time I checked about 85% of you were Christians. You have the numbers, you just need to put in the work.

Student should just go to another class if they are offended, or rather, chill out, or just use their name instead of pronouns. we've decended into hell... can ya tell?

He wasn't imprisoned for using the wrong pronouns, he was imprisoned for ignoring the decision of the court and going to the school he'd been fired from.

It's like claiming you were sent to prison for stealing a chocolate bar, and not for punching the police officer that arrested you.

No. I suspect if he was a middle Eastern Muslim man who refused to use the correct pronouns instead of a white Christian male there'd be no issue and maybe even the student involved jailed for islamaphobia.

I don't support his sacking but he had to know that what he did was tantamount to quitting his job. You can't win if you don't play the game.

The fact that he violated a court order just puts egg on it. A teacher can have religious beliefs but he doesn't get to impose them on everyone else at the school.
