The teacher of the opposite sex isn't allowed while teaching sex education in my school. What do you think?

For example, if a class is full of boys, a male teacher should teach about sex education, not a female.

If a class is full of girls, a female teacher should teach about sex education, not a male.

That is reasonable.

I was first exposed to sex education in the 4th grade. From both men and women teachers as each taught a different segment of the subject. Regardless of their gender, in the land of “kiddom” they are still, “the teacher” so it didn’t make a hill of beans of difference what sex the teacher happen to be. Because ‘they’ were the ‘teacher’ and that was that.

If memory served, it was only the child birth video where us boys were separated from the girls. Then when we regrouped, we just compared notes so to speak with the girls. Which essentially amounted to them pretty much all saying, “we want pain drugs during delivery!” None of us boys argued with their sentiment.

That's reasonable of course. What do you think happens if a woman starts to talk about sex in front of class full of horny boys? That's like begging for sexual harassment. Trust me this protocol is thought out and is how it is for a reason, not a mistake.

It was a woman who taught my class sex ed when I was in high school, no one harassed her cause we weren't psychotic sex pests, we were kids.

Any reasonably educated adult should be able to teach a basic sex ed class. But the issue is when the students are uncomfortable asking one gender or another specific questions they may have.

It’s reasonable. Students will feel more comfortable asking questions with a same-sex teacher so they will learn more.
