Why would soviet want kennedy killed if we were to say they were behind the assassination of him?

He was gonna pull out of Vietnam which the Soviets were funding. We did the same in Afghanistan in the 80s which bankrupted the Soviets. And started al Quada.

There are none for such a scenario. Contrary to the beliefs of some nutjobs, political leader like other political leaders to be dependable and predictable. Which Kennedy was.

@DryGermanGuy i am doing some research for a presentation. The topic is the cold war, so not mentioning soviet as a possibility would be harmful within this topic.

Well, obviously there could be no Cold War without a Soviet Union. But for any assassination on foreign ground I see no reasons. Apart from the fact that the USA and the USSR had a longstanding unwritten rule not to carry out any physical covert attacks on each other's territory.

Huh? The blockade during the missile crisis happened in 1962. JFK was assassinated one whole year later, long after the crisis was resolved.

No, after the negotiations between Kennedy and Khrushchev the naval blockade was lifted in November 1962. Another result was the establishment of the famous hotline ("red phone") between both superpowers.
