Does your country discriminate between the gender of suspects when it comes to their privacy?

Recently, there has been an incident in my country in which a video of tens of female students taking a shower was recorded and posted on the internet against their will and consent.

A couple has been suspected of the act and all the news channels are showing the picture of the male suspect, while censoring the picture of the female suspect, without any proof that they (especially the guy) are truly guilty. Furthermore, the name of the guy has been revealed by the media but the name of the girl was kept private.

Is media (& society) discriminatory (based on gender) in your country as well?

I’m sire that happens to some degree in all countries. But your example is very strange. 1) innocent until proven, media. 2) why not show the girl? She probably recorded it.

But devils advocate, in my country USA, revenge porn used to be legal and females had to “copyright” their own bodies with the government in order to get any traction on their legal case. That meant taking naked pics of their bodies and sending it to some patent clerk perv.

What happens all the time in America now is that a woman will accuse a man of rape, the identity and photos of the "suspect" are immediately made public with the details of the alleged crime, he is then tried and convicted in the court of public opinion, his reputation destroyed and his career ruined, all while the anonymity of the accuser is protected by law.
