Why do restaurants beg for people's help when they never want to help anyone else?

During the pandemic, they begged for support and help, but whenever they had left over, they never gave them to the homeless. Restaurants charge you $200 for a meal that costs $20 to make. They pay their employees $2 an hour because they get tips. When they need assistance, they beg others to help, but they never give anything back.
