Do you think this site represents a majority of people in real life?

Not the majority, but at least on here people aren't censored as much as they are on some other social media sites. (Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube for example.)

Social media mostly represents the people that have the time to be on it though, or the people that get bored and have certain time spots in the day with nothing to do. Or people at work using it while avoiding doing their job.

I will say that after being on this site, it has made me lose more respect and dislike people even more than I already did before based on some of the people's morals on here.

Not exactly.

Reddit has way more people using it, so you're gonna get a bigger representation of views with the most popular ones rising to the top of the feed. Gag has a smaller more eccentric group of users. Gag sometimes feels like it's full of the outcasts that don't fit in to other social media platforms.

I do think people come here to share ideas, whether they line up with what other users are looking for or not will always be a tossup. I think you have to find the good advice, the funny, and whatever else you may be looking for as useful to enjoy this site.

I’m a firm believer in honesty, and I suspect that a lot of commentary here is the result of individuals not being able to share some details of their life with those who are in close proximity to them.

Probably not, I imagine people in real life tend to be worse or better depending on where you live. In my case, worse than G@G.

Not at all. The users here skew heavily socially conservative in their outlook relative to the population of 21st century millenial/gen Z people. Other sites like Reddit and Quora skew left, 4chan heavily to the right, etc. I think Quora probably has the highest concentration of semi-balanced, intelligent people though, partly because answers are usually curated and requested by people who actually have expertise.

People always say that internet doesn't reflect real life but I think that's not true in fact people in internet I believe tend to be more honest than people in real life. Internet reveals real thoughts and true face of the people.

God I f***ing hope not. Or society really has a problem. I think it's just the fact that it's the internet. Hyperbole reigns on the internet. The internet has no conscience. And there are generally no real life repercussions for someone acting a complete tool.
