Are most people on the site mean?

I personally can't relate to anyone here. Even when someone seems nice at first, they will be friends or support some users, who aren't that nice... I sometimes feel an urge to block the whole site (the majority of people here)

not that necessarily find most of them “mean”, but most of them just have gross viewpoints on certain topics.
Even the very few users who seem to be cool will comment something gross once in a while. Then I’m like “yikes..”

The majority of people are mean at least a majority of the time, whether it be on this site, the internet as a whole, or even the world at large. Your feelings are understandable. My advice would be to block the people who are mean to you, specifically. Or people you see do something so egregious you just can't stand it. Otherwise, there's little choice but to accept that people often will fail to live up to any reasonable standard of decency.

It's gotten really bad. Cliques of moderators and influencers gang up on you and they either bully or remove anyone that doesn't agree.
