I mean to give a dog a bone, he could have left papers/ misplaced them. Not been told about which side to exit for the conference. Someone could have gestured or told him something, which made him look back and forth, or directly across the stage/ room.

Is it dementia? Maybe. Get these senior citizens out of the runnings before one tears an ACL, while losing his orange spray tan, and pet wig named Hitler 2.0, and the other runs right back into the starting gate, running the whole length of the track completely backward, tripping over steps, and calls everyone in the stands "mom" including his orange opponent.

He was obviously off script and got caught up in the moment and he misspoke. Ten minutes later the fake news wanted him driven out of office because he was so obviously mentally impaired, Biden has been walking around in a stupor since before the election. He was kept hidden in his basement almost the whole time because it was so bad.
