What exactly is "gender equality"? If it's equal rights and opportunities, I support it 100%. If it's equal outcomes then I don't. Everyone should have equal rights and opportunities, which they certainly already have in places like N America and western Europe. What they do with that is up to them and the choices hey make.

I think as a society need to stop telling women they are not equal and that they need to achieve equality by doing all the same things men do, because that only makes both sexes less happy.

when it comes to being fairly compensated and having access to opportunity and freedom to make life choices, that is important.

When it comes to competing head to head men and women in activites they are better at, then it is. some of this is person specific skills... e. g. women are better at multi tasking in cases, men are better at focus and power sometimes.

For example, most women don't want to be stay at home mothers. Yet gender roles say they should be. So if you enforce gender roles you will force them to be something they don't want and subsequently take their freedom to be who they are and to chose for themselves.

Well All Women don’t want to work after having children childbirth is very draining and makes it very difficult to work stay at home mom is the best option for a woman who just had kids that’s not really gender roles but accommodations for what a woman’s body naturally does a woman isn’t what they choose to be or feel like it’s what they are
And what women do is give birth so its actually more problematic to abandon or ignore biology

Thing is... they do want to work after childbirth. Stay a while with the baby at home sure, but not they all want to get back at work at some point.
About biology, name a single mother in the animal kingdom that does not bring food home to her children. The natural state is them providing for their young.

Its actually really sad that career driven women die alone most of the residents in retirement homes are old women i talk to them every Friday they are very lonely many of them have lots of money but they chose a career over a family and I’m telling you they regret it

I work at a big company. Many of my coworkers are mothers. They did returned to the workforce on their own will after childbirth. They can still spend time with their children after they get home. Same thing as my coworkers who are fathers.

So we have here career driven women, still together with the child's father by the way, who are mothers and gladly got back to work after being mothers. That's what they want. Gender roles would take that away from them.
Like I said, gender roles force people to be and act in a way that takes away freedoms.

They could be just 10% of the population, it still means thousands and thousands want to get back to work. And gender roles would prevent them. Take away that freedom of choice to live their lives. How can you support that?

Did you that after women gain the legal rights to get divorced in the US their suicide rate dropped by 20%? 20 fucking percent!!! People on the old days pretended they were happy, but look at what happened when they had their freedom. They literally live longer.

Same thing with men. Our suicide rate is still high because we are always told to suck it up be a man, show no emotions. It's scientifically proven that bottling up emotions makes you more prone to suicide.

Both of the last paragraphs are facts and a direct cause of gender roles. They cause lack of freedom and subsequently death. I know you like gender roles, but facts don't care about your feelings.
