I didn't have to make a car insurance claim until I'd been driving 25 years. Worth every penny, and it was only for vehicle damage, not anyone being hurt or killed.

Yes, it's a scam. Why should we pay out money incase something happens? The probability is worth the risk of just paying when there actually is a catastrophe
