I thought all monarchy in Asia is out since I wasn't hearing about it, so it came as surprise.
Guess they were a little too low-key.
So anyone cares to introduce it?

Trending & News 1) it’s the only country where technically our “enemy” still has “power”. His parents-parents were emperor during WW2. But…
2) emperors don’t have any executive power in Japan really. He’s head of the religion, and does ceremonial stuff. Like the new King of England. But Japan’s constitution which was written after WW2, vests all executive power to the cabinet and Prime Minister. Not even any army command.
3) But…some Japanese still think he’s a living god. Which was why Japan was so hard to conquer in WW2.
It's actually true, yeah. The monarchy dates all the way back to 660 BC with their first monarch, Emperor Jimmu. In fact, it's also considered the oldest hereditary monarchy in the whole world as well as in history.
The current monarch is Emperor Naruhito and his wife, Empress Masako.

They not the only Asian who have Monarchy, but it's only a Constitutional Monarchy in Japan.
They have an emperor but, he has very little power. Just like in England, they still have the royal family but they have VERY little power. The prime minister is in charge there. I forget what the leader of Japan is called
Sounds like you can do my take on this
