Police shoots teen while eating a hamburger outside of McDonald’s. What are your opinions?

Just a quick skim of the story says he fled the police in the vehicle the night before. Evading police in a motor vehicle is a felony. Cop believed vehicle to be stolen. The cop tried to apprehend him when he was eating his burger and the kid again tried to flee the police in a motor vehicle putting the car into reverse with his door open. He shouldn’t have been shot being that the officer was in no immediate danger of being run over by the car and there is no evidence that members of the public were in danger (with the exception of the passenger I suppose), but obviously the kid wasn’t just eating a burger. He running from the police multiple times because he’s a criminal and doesn’t want to get caught. That said, he should have called for backup and chased the knuckle head down.

I saw the video a couple of days ago. Some cops in this country are totally out of control or borderline mentally ill.

His first mistakes was opening his car door as he has no right to just go up and open someone's car door as that isn't his property unless there's probable cause a crime has been committed which wasn't.

To make it worse he starts to fire at the teen while in the car for no justifiable reason and shoots at the car while the teen is trying to get away in which he could have easily shot or killed someone else walking by. 🙄

[1] Please do not try to pretend like the kid did not just try to run... After the cop opens the door, the kid's IMMEDIATE response was to shift to reverse and start backing up, then there was a struggle, and THEN shots were fired. FYI: This is not a normal response of someone who is supposedly innocent and hasn't done anything.

[2] The officer already looks bad enough! He was pretty much mag-dumping at a fleeing vehicle that wasn't even driving toward him...

[3] A more appropriate title would be: "Texas officer opens fire at fleeing suspect in McDonald's parking lot." Because the shooting started as the kid was already in the process of fleeing. But titles like yours and CNN's try to imply that he was shot simply for eating outside... which is kind of dishonest... and it isn't even necessary.
