I heard a sound-bite today from the dementia ridden Pres. saying, "The reason getting 15 million more barrels from the SPR was to make sure the oil companies know to keep producing enough oil for the country." Huh? What?

He is so full of shit. Unbelievable what he said. Makes absolutely ZERO sense. So getting ANOTHER 15 million barrels of oil from the SPR will force oil companies to keep producing oil? The SPR is there for natural disasters, emergency needs, and in case the US goes to war and needs an immediate additional supply of oil. None of those situations exist, yet he thinks this is his personal energy piggy bank to lower the price of gas now. He's purposely placed the US in one of THE worst energy positions with his draining of the Strategic Petroleum Reserves.

The Saudis pretty much gave him the finger when he wasted a trip on Air Force One, to ask them to hold off on lowering their production. So with the election 3 weeks away, he's attempting to keep gasoline prices artificially lower until after the election. The thing is, gas prices would be a LOT lower (along with everything else) if he hadn't placed every obstacle possible to destroy the US oil industry, starting the day he was sworn in.

Its technically true if you look this up. Oil is costly due to sanctions overseas. The pipeline created up north near Canada is for us, but they had to construct through native American burial ground to do so. Obama was supposed to approve it but he pushed that final gavel to Trump, and its supppsed to be finished relatively soon. Once the pump starts, that oil is just for us but it won't last too long. Thats why the push for hybrids and electric is so strong with car manufacturers. Transportation is a huge economic issue, can't keep bribing oil from foreign countries.
