I’m confused. Do we hate cops or honor them? I like the in between. But it seems like one political side keeps yelling “Blue Lives Matter!” Along with with “2A right!” “Come and Get It!”

Let’s do a check on how many cops actually get charged and convicted…You literally need to strangle a black man to death on camera to get convicted as a cop these days.

I personally honor them to have to go through all the training they go through. Not every cop is perfect and I'm sure some take advantage of their position but for the ones that are being honest and actually want to help protect are the ones that I applaud. Imagine just having to deal with crazy situations and how to approach certain things without getting injured or killed. I know it also doesn't help much that social media is the worst because they never show the whole story and they are quick to jump on the "race/color" like this cop hit a black male etc etc

Some cops are dirty and they are the reason cops, and what they do needs more scrutiny.

i love cops as a whole but they need to be held accountable more for their actions. Not every cop needs it.

But just like schools that have medal detectors. Hundreds of kids go to school and do right but a couple bring weapons, so to protect the hundreds they put medal detectors to weed out the few.

They're more scruitinized, and it's not even a question. For a lot of cops, detaining black people, black men specifically, has become a guaranteed PR shitstorm, and most cops simply don't want to deal with it.

Yeah… there’s definitely an argument to be made there… I will say that I’m getting tired of seeing situations where the media runs wild with these stories before they have all the facts and trigger protests and get people wrongfully fired.

The media is NOT the court. It should not be offering it’s ruling on matters that don’t concern it.

Very true. It’s ironic…most of us are prob on the same page with cops. We support their bravery and want them well paid.

Its obviously both. One side think this, the other thinks that, normal people are in the middle. Bad caps are bad, but not all cops are bad, and I will much rather have cops than the potential hellhole a place would likely become without them.

Kinda sorta true. I just read a book on bureaucracy and how its uses have helped in the past. I think police unions are to blame for lack of checks and balances.
