Mr. Jones is ordinarily a law-abiding man. One day, his wife becomes gravely ill. Heinz takes her to the doctor, who prescribes medication for her. She does quite well on this medication and begins to recover.

However, Jones has no insurance and runs out of money quickly paying for this expensive medication. After a few months, he can no longer purchase the medication and his wife begins to take a turn for the worse. One day, he is in the pharmacy and notices that no one is behind the counter. The medication is in plain view. Should he steal the medication to help his sick wife?

besides, drug stores are filthy rich and they always have insurance to cover that little loss if they're missing it, which I doubt...

Mr. Jones... hopefully will feel guilt enough to do way better or try something different, rather than stealing a life-saving medicine

he could go to jail though, because well... it is 2022 and cameras are thing, but still... maybe he makes it to the news, goes viral and then there are efforts from people who want to help, or some rich fuck who says "this is my time" either helps anonymously, or does it openly to get all the praise, either way helps...

I would take the meds. CVS is a huge company that has gotten rich off of overcharging insiuance companies for prescription meds. It is a little payback. I would take a candy bar for the ride home too.

No, he should have discussed the situation with his physician and pharmacist and they probably could have gotten him the medication for free or at a substantially reduced price.

Get arrested, but just beforehand a family or acquaintance of his should set up a go fund me.

The go fund will hopefully cover his bail, in the meantime news sources and media pick up this story of an ethical dilemma.

Hopefully, a good law firm picks up his case pro bono -- hopefully, he can get 6 months in prison and 6 months doing community service, and then a charity or organization reads his story is moved and decides to fund his wife's medicine

I saw on the news that if it’s less than $300 dollars a lot of states won’t even prosecute you. So yeah I think he should. But it won’t last forever and then he’ll be back to the same problem.
