Many times people fool themself thinking there are in danger just because it's dark and there alone. Maybe his just a man on his way home, like you. But don't take you as the naive type. If he does something, you know how to survive.

You freak out! You hate beeing alone, you have many friends and at these moments you hate yourself for not having one there with you! If something happens, you know that you can run fast.

This happens to you quite often. Feeling this threat and fear. You don't freak out, even though you don't often see the best in people you know what you are capable of. You're smart, and cleverness safes lifes. You have control, you know what to do.

I went with C... just because I've lived among cartel territories in dispute

so I have that (plenty) of experience with awareness of everything and everyone around me... in the specific scenario you mentioned I could simply slow down, look back or even turn around and stop... and just with one look, whether our eyes cross or not then "I'll know..." I can feel or sense if they're up to something, or just checking, or just going somewhere in the same way I am

and if they were up to something shady, then yes... I know very well what I could do or would do in most, if not all situations, not only because we're used to awareness here, but also preparedness and readiness, that's just how you get around here

I don't feel fear but I do keep an eye on them as you should with everyone who gets physically close.
