"Took" place? As in, it's over? No- it's still ongoing, and will continue to be, until the infectable population drops below replacement level. Given how many people are still trying to avoid a glorified cold that's less dangerous than ever before, and its rapid rate of mutation, that's not likely to happen any time soon. Given the damage isolation has done to their immune systems, it's not likely to be as smooth or painless as it would've been had they just faced it, either; such is the price of cowardice. Most cases were (and are) so mild as to be asymptomatic or mistaken for a mild cold, but it's a very real disease.

Of course, that's assuming you define a disease as being caused by a particular pathogen, or a mutated strain OF that pathogen. If you work purely on a genetic level, then thanks to reverse transcriptase and horizontal gene transfer (which, not being Lysenko-approved, are apparently "right-wing conspiracy theories" now), the pandemic will likely outlast the human race, and could still be ongoing literally hundreds of millions of years from now.

I am not going so far to call it a hoax, however it is a lot of evidence leaning that way.
What makes me think like that is more than two things, but I'll start to say, the definition of pandemic got rewritten and redefined back in 2009, only three years later we have the inauguration ceremony of the olympics where hospital was theme.
Usually it takes ten years of research for a real vaccine to get done and approved, not nine-ten months.
97% of the people who have had it survived, so the lethality is not higher than a regular cold, and the latest version even match a regular seasonal flu according to south africa which was the first country to claim the first case.
We also have name highly up in the world health organisation saying it was too early to rule out the possibility of a lab leak in Wuhan.
Then we have doctors and scientists being silenced and banned off the social media platform twitter.
Then we have pharmaseutical companies (pfizer) who originally wanted to have not only the ingredient lists, but the sideeffect lists secret from the sheeple until 2075.
That made me choose to not vaccinate myself. As the time went by, it is evident that I made the right choice.
I am not against working vaccines at all, but too many reasons that are evident of my suspicions being closer to the truth.
It was a pLandemic if anything.

Yes, but it was exaggerated and there was a lot of misleading and wrong information. There are many viruses in the world. Some of them are pretty nasty, far worse than C19. Some viruses have completely wiped out entire populations.

No question. The mortality rate spiked. There were hundreds of thousands of excess deaths in 2020 and 2021. We don't have to determine whether each person died directly of Covid-19. We can just look at mortality rates in 2018 vs. 2020 and 2021.
