Do people actually get arrested in your country for spanking their children?

There are various countries where all corporal punishment of children is prohibited. Wikipedia lists them here.

Some of these you might expect, but not so much others. I have trouble however, believing that anyone has ever been arrested in say the Congo for spanking their child unless they seriously injured them. I would like to hear from anyone who is in one of the countries where it is illegal.

Yes they have, and good riddence. Spanking is only bad for the child growing up and should be treated as physical abuse of a child.

It depends at which level.

According to the map it is legal in Uganda, but illegal in Kenya and South Sudan just across the border. Have you heard of anyone being arrested in either of those countries for hitting their children when the kids weren't injured?

We always do case media coverage against that kind of act, and once one is got spanking or beating his or her child in an extreme injuring way are always arrested.
