What do you think would cause another Civil War in America 🇺🇸?

When do you think it might happen and where will it happen?
I'm picturing in my mind in two weeks when the reserve diesel fuel is all gone. Because food won't get to the stores, then all hell will break out.

Two years ago I would have never thought about such things to ask your opinions about, because with President Trump, everything was fine. Food was affordable and plentiful.

Yes, the issues with the supply chain have been an ongoing problem. I ordered some new windows and I was told it will take 16 weeks to get them. Two years ago it was three weeks and they cost half as much. As bad as 2020 was with covid, it now seems like the good old days. If the country runs out of diesel fuel or heating oil it will be a major disaster.

Democrat attempts to pack the Supreme Court might prompt some civil unrest. Another pandemic with authoritarian overractions might spark a civil war. If a civil war starts again, it would be in either the South or the midwest.

I don't think an all out civil war could occur. Only the right side really wants a fight. The left regards the right rather as children throwing a tantrum over a bunch of misinformation, so isn't likely to do much in the way of fighting back. And police seem largely reluctant to do anything about violent right wingers until after they are on a rooftop picking people off or whatever.

Or I suppose another way of saying it is that the first civil war never quite ended. The same sort of people pissed that they lost and wanting a rematch are still pissed that they lost and wanting a rematch. It seems pretty clear their goal is to take over our elections and impose Christian nationalism on people who want nothing to do with it. To keep removing rights and imposing the will of Christian nationalists until we fight back. Because political violence is all they actually want. They have been whipped up into a frothing rage for decades. Whole lives have been born into right wing misinformation and are now in their mid 40s, with it whispering into their ear every step of the way. They can't see any other way the world should go on other than by killing some liberals to make themselves feel better. I think on some level they know none of the hairbrained ideas spoonfed to them by right wing media will actually work. So even if they built a huge wall, ended all abortions without exception, drilled every inch of land for oil, and cut ourselves off from the rest of the world, they would still be just as miserable. And it infuriates them that liberals would be around to rub their nose in that fact because they hung a lot of their self worth on what the right wing media told them to think about themselves. And self worth is not a thing you can lightly disturb in an adult.
