Is it right to call the coronavirus the china virus or the Chinese virus?

The sole reason to call it the Chinese virus is to blame the Chinese and hold them morally accountable for releasing that in the world. The initial liberal reaction was a knee-jerk denial because the words came from Trump's mouth and, therefore, it "obviously" couldnt be true. But we now know that the virus did originate in a lab in China. Apart from liberal intransigence and liberal resistance to admitting that they were wrong/Trump was right, is there any reason to not hold the Chinese accountable?

No. There are GOBS of viruses that originated in China; what makes this one deserving of that title among all the others?

China's location gave it access to a HUGE variety of foodstuffs, which meant that not only could it feed a massive population, it could do so reliably. Famines dented the population, of course, but they couldn't destroy the civilization, since people could just switch to another food. As a result, the cities grew ENORMOUS: when the Crusaders reached Constantinople, they were astounded; a city of 400,000 people was far larger than anything they'd ever seen. At the same time, Beijing alone had almost TWICE that many. A large intermixing population means lots of mutating viruses with lots of potential hosts.

Me calling Covid "the Chinese virus" would be like an Amerind calling smallpox "the European virus".

The liberal talking heads, AKA Mass Media, as well as those within the scientific community, called it the China/Wahun virus for weeks before Trump did. They never had an issue with it. So, again, who determined it was suddenly "political gesturing" and "racist"?
