You mean J6 was actually a coup attempt? In the US? At our Capitol building?
If you call that chaos event a coup attempt, you must have your head up your rear. Even a 6th grader could have planned a REAL coup attempt that would have made some progress. If anyone actually believes a coup attempt in the US was done WITHOUT guns, they're full of shit up to their eyes. The Democrats are using that event to foment their base and divide the country even further.
MTG was only stating the obvious; something the Democrats are purposely ignoring. Anyone with half a brain can see that attempt was never gonna work or come close to it.
It was a coup attempt. A bad one, but still it was one. Trump announced that he would be joining the rioters. But his Secret Service driver took him away against Trump's wishes and orders. Several of Trump's messages have been recovered and he was considering various methods of preventing the transfer of power, which itself was a coup attempt. There is most likely enough evidence to convict him of interference, obstruction of an official proceeding of Congress, conspiracy to defraud the United States, seditious conspiracy (one of the most serious crimes he could be charged with, and one that several of the rioters have already been found guilty of, and since they were following Trump's directions, he too can be found guilty of it), and many other serious crimes.
Do you listen to what these people think and believe? If breathing wasn't an autonomic function, it would be too difficult for them to figure out and they'd all suffocate.

The successful ones usually are, but a coup is simply a sudden overthrow of the government, which is what his supporters were seeking. Do you know what might have happened in the spur of the moment if some of these folks got a hold of legislators?

You're nuts. She was in a connected building which was evacuated because of the attack. She never said she was in the Capitol building, she was afraid when a stranger came to her office door. She gets frequent death threats, especially after Tucker Carlson says something about her on his show.

Yes, because rioters attacking the Capitol in order to steal an election will definitely follow all rules of the road and not take a direct route (or a tunnel).
From the nearest point outside the Capitol building to her building is 200m, it's further to her office on the far side of that building, 450m. Still only 6 minutes (according to Google), probably far less if you take the underground tunnels, avoiding crossing the road. The attack went on for hours. There were a lot of rioters.
It's not unreasonable to be worried that some got into her building.
I'm not being dramatic, and it was a violent, armed attack on American democracy, part of a multi-level scheme, weeks in the planning, to illegally steal the presidency for Trump.
