Do you think China has reason to attack taiwan?

I think that if taiwan dont follow their constitution that mean they dont believe democratic politics themsleve to go back the wild status therefore China can attack them by any reason.

China sees Taiwan as a 'wayward' province that should be under the control of the CCP.
Taiwan’s 1947 constitution, promulgated while the Nationalist government still ruled the mainland as well as Taiwan, created a republican system of government. The document ensured legislative supremacy and granted a considerable degree of autonomy to local governments. The president, originally chosen by the National Assembly until that body was abolished in 2005, is now elected by popular vote and is head of state. The premier, who is appointed by the president, heads the government. Political parties are not mentioned in the document, although it was assumed that they would play a role in politics.

Instead of the three branches of government that are found in most Western governments, the constitution originally provided for five: the executive, legislative, and judicial components plus a Control Yuan (branch of government) and an Examination Yuan. The two additional branches represented organs of government in traditional China that checked on the bureaucracy and that managed functions such as the civil service examinations and promotions. It was thought that a five-branch system would provide better checks and balances than a three-branch system.
The constitution was amended a number of times during the 1990s. Until then the government, as the Republic of China, effectively had maintained an electoral college with other powers (the National Assembly) that included representatives from each of the mainland provinces. One of the important changes undertaken in the early part of the decade was the start of a process to get rid of those representatives of China in the elected bodies of government, although overseas Chinese (ethnic Chinese living outside Taiwan and China) were allotted special representation. Other measures included reforms of provincial and local government, equal rights for women, safeguards for the handicapped and the aboriginal peoples, changes in the relationship of the branches of government and the role of the premier, and the start of a process to phase out the National Assembly. In 1993 the Control Yuan ceased to be an elected government body, and its functions were truncated. From early 2005 until mid-2008 it did not function at all, because of a deadlock between the president and the legislature over nominees. The branch has since been reinstated, but it is no longer regarded as an important organ of the government. The Examination Yuan likewise is no longer thought of as a major branch of the government, meaning that Taiwan, for all intents and purposes, has a three-branch system.

In 2003 the legislature passed the Referendum Act, which defined that theretofore unused constitutional provision. Referendums were included in subsequent elections, and some caused considerable controversy. In 2005 the constitution was amended to abolish the National Assembly. The process, however, did not resolve the question of the fundamental structure of the government, though other changes and practice have made it more presidential.
If China invaded Taiwan it would be to get their hands on the Microchip production lines which are substantially more advanced than any in the CCP, but the Taiwanese government have vowed to destroy them if the Peoples Liberation Army/Navy/Air force ever invaded, and duplicates of those production lines have been constructed in Japan and the US.

Yeah they can't make good chips on the mainland and want to absorb that industry capacity for military reasons.

Also the CCP is looking for any kind of win to justify it's continued existence after the massive problems they've been creating for their people in recent years.

Honestly it's a sad situation. Hopefully war can be avoided without anyone having to make unreasonable concessions.

The only reason they have is the continuation of the Chinese civil war. The Taiwanese government is the legitimate government of all of China, this is a threat to the Chinese communist party. Truth is that China had not the means to project the force needed to take Taiwan. China is looking at the Ukraine conflict and the toll its taking as well as how ineffective Russia's military technology is and this worries China as most of their equipment is of Russian design. They are looking at the US military who are 20 years fighting wars in the middle east are completely replacing or overhauling every piece of military equipment for the first time since the cold war. US military equipment and technology has been well ahead of Russia and China since the end of the cold war with both unable to catch up and now the US and its NATO allies and other allies in the Pacific are about to jump 20 years ahead again leaving China and Russia 20-40 years behind.

China won't attach Taiwan. You're a westerner thinking through western eyes. China will make life so unbearable that Taiwan will have a referendum In which the Taiwanese will vote to rejoin china. That's going to be the end game. It may take 10, 20 or 50 years. But that will be the end game.

You are right somehow but my point want to offer China real law inside for future. The party and citizen dont read law they are easy to be convinced by benefit of the group's. You know the law is transplanted from western law system if they dont read their idea develop to ancient china's. yeah I doubt western law recently too. Especially western treat russian's problem.

They certainly do. China is adamant that Taiwan is a province of theirs, yet Taiwan has their own government and laws that China has absolutely zero control over. They know deep down their a sovreign nation, they just don't want to admit it, so they intimidate other countries and even private businesses, into recognizing them as part of China. But people are getting smart and China knows this, so they feel their only option is to make it their province for real.

China attacking a country for problems in following its own democratic principles is not so much the "pot" as the "lightless void of space" calling the kettle black.

It's not that China has no reason to attack Taiwan but it's a stupid and petty one. It's to take back land that China lost to revolutionaries.
