Yes, absolutely 100%. One of my closest best friends is a transwoman, and she is absolutely one of the kindest sweetest most beautiful person I've ever met! I think the issues most decent caring people have with this is when children are allowed to self diagnose and transition, as well as MEN in women-only spaces like dressing rooms and gym showers, as well as men in women's sports! First having known a transgender woman growing up, I can tell you that the body dysphoria is SO severe that NO real transwoman would EVER show off the one thing they despise about themselves most, their penis! so when a "transwoman" shows up in a changing room showing off their cock for all to see (including children) in the case of the Wii Salon incident in California, I KNOW that that is not a real transgender person, it's a sex offender taking advantage of the protections within the law, to expose himself to unsuspecting women, and "bonus" also a little girl! I fully believe that gender dysphoria is real, although in reality it's extremely rare. I believe that with today's oppression olympics, being a "victim" is so coveted, that people are taking advantage of "self identifying" to feel special, especially with men in women's sports. although studies show that teenage girls are "transitioning" in peer-group clusters, at an alarming rate which is unbelievably problematic! especially when a cottage industry of so-called doctors who remove the healthy breasts of young girls! I do support the rights of transgender individuals, but I believe we need to go back to the days of living as the gender you know you are for ONE full year, and getting TWO confirmed diagnoses (like my best friend did) before any pharmaceutical intervention is allowed, and then living for one full year on hormones before the patient is eligible for ANY medical/surgical intervention. I believe that making gender dysphoria the ONLY psychological disorder where the patient can self diagnose and doctors are required by law to "affirm" that self diagnosis is ridiculous and sets a very dangerous precedent! But if there are TWO confirmed diagnoses of gender dysphoria, and the person goes through the proper steps over at LEAST two years, then yes I fully support their right to transition, and to be treated with kindness, dignity, and respect!

using this website for the first time in a long time it's been kind of interesting—these days i can mention that i'm trans on this website and it no longer starts a fight. in the old days (i've been on this website, on and off, under various names, since i was 16, so we're talking about up to 13 years ago) it would occasion alarmed and confused reactions every single time.
when you're reading these answers back you're going to notice that most of the answers are very politicized. these people are either militantly anti-trans, or they support trans people in a very narrow and restrictive way and think some kind of line is being crossed. i would tend to call them reactionary, transphobic, and so forth. however, they are informed answers. no one has to ask you what "trans" means or where that flag comes from. i don't know if this is quite true, but my feeling is that the politicization of trans issues on the right has actually paradoxically led to an increase in acceptance of trans people. because more people are educated about it they are forced to negotiate with it and take positions which seem fair to them. most people are willing to compromise and they might, as many of these answers do, sort between good and bad kinds of trans people, or individual trans people and the pedophilic trans agenda, and so forth. but the bad guys, the bad agenda that they believe in is such a ridiculous stereotype that it doesn't doesn't really exist. so when they meet me, an individual trans person—even if i am, as i think i am, really quite a strange person overall—they don't have to feel like they have a dispute with me, and our interaction doesn't have to be hostile. at the very least, i'm no longer in the position of explaining and defending myself to them because they've done all the thinking about it off screen.
a friend of mine here in the UK who is a parent told me that most parents have been kind of counter-radicalized by TERFs (anti-trans campaigners), for the reason that TERFs are so hostile and stupid that most depoliticized people think that they must be wrong about whatever the hell they're talking about and take the opposite view.
I think the autobots and the deceptions should have equal rights. There are honorable deceptions like blitzwing and sixshot and some very dishonorable autobots like repugnus. But to deny either side their rights is not going to make the war end anytime soon. by realizing that both sides are equal in their right to exist Cybertron can begin to heal. Transformers should the same rights as any other sentient organisms. After all Optimus prime said "freedom is the right of all sentient beings!".
Nope. Everyone has basic rights under the law. You're not special and deserve no special privileges. Now stop burning down churches to try to transgress against God.

No, I don't. Well, I don't support transgender teens or kids. If you want to take estrogen and live like a woman and look like a woman, that's your choice. But you should not influence other into becoming trans.
I believe you are either a man or a woman, and you should love yourself. I think Kim Kardashian and her surgeries for beauty are very toxic and create self-hatred in many young man and women. While I am okay with estrogen pills I am not okay with the surgery.
I believe you should learn to love who you are and not feel the need to change the name of your gender. Or get an awful surgery that can cause infections. Again it's fine if you want to take pills and live life like a woman, but I think you should accept yourself and love yourself.
I support them so long as they respect other rights that humans have. I have always lived by the golden rule. Be an arse with me and I'll feed you to the "wolves." Respect me and I'll try my hardest to fight for you to be able to have at least equal footing. Just don' t try to use the victim mentality as thats also just weak and an excuse rather than a reason to take one seriously.
Nope, no more than I support otherkin or furry "rights".
Too much time being wasted on such daft shit, when there are bigger problems to deal with. But I suppose that's how societies collapse. They waste more and more time on smaller and smaller issues.
No, I do not. Especially in anyone under 18. God created man and woman, not a combination of the two.
I support the LGBT community as a whole,
I don’t support people pretending to be Trans that’s just disrespectful to people who have a genuine condition.
The way I see it is that if you’re not hurting anyone and as long as it stays that way then I’m fine with it.what does this question refer to? I don’t condone the ideology behind being trans because in my opinion being trans doesn’t make sense and does not exist. but that is my opinion and not everybody has to share it. I still don’t think trans individuals deserve to be discriminated against or treated unjustly or deserve violence and hate.
Yes. What I DON'T support is guys simply CLAIMING they're women just so they can get access to women's showers and bathrooms!! You wanna become a woman? Fine! No problem at all with that BUT, you GOTTA START TO PRESENT ON A REGULAR BASIS BEFORE YOU CAN ACCESS TO ANY OF THOSE PLACES!!! (Okay, so it rhymes!) You also have to start HRT!! Competing against natural women in sporting events is out, too.
Not really, "trans men" should be tomboys and that it, and a human can't become a cat.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/sObPHx2QMY0I support equal treatment and equal protection of the law. I'm not aware of anything being asked for beyond that so don't know what there is to support.
Yes, thanks to the transgender laws I can perceive myself as a woman so as not to go to war and to be able to participate in women's sporting events.
I support the rights of actual trans people who have done the hormones and the surgeries. I don't support weirdos who decided to cosplay as the opposite sex to be allowed to use their bathrooms and changing rooms.
You should have disallowed anon responses in this, because most of the heterosexist scumbags are going to abuse that feature. And yes, as I have trans friends, I am for their rights.
Might be a hot take, but it sounds more like a mental health issue to me - body dysmorphia.
I assumed trans people have the same rights as everyone else, but feel free to enlighten where you feel this isn't the case.
Ideally, I would make those people illegal. But at the very least, such a tiny percentage of the population certainly shouldn't have as much power and influence as they do.
Depends what you mean.
Gender dysphoria exists, but only like 1% of people that call themsleves "transgenders" suffer from it. All of the rest are just transmaxxing or want to be trendy.
Never
I support equal rights and opportunities under the US Constitution. I support no other "special" rights and privileges.
I simply believe in Live and Let Live.
No because they fall under human rights and therefore are made up bullshit. Pretend to be whatever you want, just stop acting like you're doing anything new.
