Do females degrade our values?

Im listening to Ancient Rome... this guy is an expert on ancient rome... a major part of world history...

"As rome expanded in territory" aka as men were killed "spending became important to gain social status." Before about 200bc, money was a lot less important. Respect and status were given to people who followed roman values. Men went to war and put their country first. If they came back they got great respect, people listen to them and celebrate them even if they were from a poor family. Women were honored for being of a low body count aka virgins. Even just kissing in public was shamed. For being too emotional. Of course there was a double standard in place... males should have high body counts, cause its natural

So after females took control of society. (Due to the fact rome's army was made up of its own citizens, and males were dying in high numbers.) SPENDING LAVISHLY to appease females and being rich, became NECESSARY to have ANY importance in society.

Is that not how it is today? No one cares about you if you aren't rich!
