There is a difference between being found not guilty and failing to reach a verdict. That is a key distinction. The excerpt under your picture states "The jury failed to reach verdicts". That simply means they could not come to an agreement. It DOES NOT mean he was found not guilty. He can be retried for the crime.
He is assumed innocent until proven guilty, but he has not been proven to be "Not guilty". This case is still open basically.
@msc545 Nope. Special treatment is getting privileges others do not get. This guy did not get any special privileges. Juries not coming to an agreement is a regular occurrence. The number of people found guilty at a trial that makes it all the way to deliberation is actually lower than those who are acquitted and/or a hung jury, which is what it is called when a jury cannot agree
It's why there needs to be a change in laws around rape cases. These cases should not be in the press until AFTER the verdict.
The problem lays in getting a secure conviction that cannot be easily overturned on appeal. It looks like that could not be done and even the jury itself could not.
I just wonder how much that cost him in corruption payments!

Proving rape allegations is extremely difficult.
It's always going to be his word vs her word.
I'm not saying the dude is innocent nor guilty but to have 6 different women accusing him of rape definitely sounds like he did it in theory but proving it is the difficult part without at least 2 witnesses to convict him.
This is why men should be CAREFUL
Women can literally accuse men of sexual harassment and RA whenever they want/feel like
This is exactly why I never believed in "believe all women "
He is being retried on two counts and was found not guilty on the other counts, so he is not free and clear yet.
Glad to see all women are not simply "believed", as feminists want, and that justice can still be served in a court of law, if not the court of gynocentric public opinion.
Don't know the details. Who does. So I only know that an expensive jury and criminal system found him innocent of several suspected crimes.
Social justice is working
he was probably framed do to the systematic racism in the British court system
You got to allow the jury to work and accept their answers
Benjamin Mendy is innocent.
This is in the UK?
I didn't follow the trial or the case.
I'm not surprised.
If he was found innocent, he's innocent
I know nothing about the case.
Like Shittenhouse, I have to take the verdict.
I’m not informed on the case
Fair trial.
Who did he pay off?
