I don't know that there'll ever be another WORLD WAR. There's simply too much to lose for EVERYONE the world is simply to small now. In a world war today there will be no Victor's. I think that's why when you see wars now they're proxy wars. It allows the world powers to slug it out indirectly in other people's sanboxes. It tests thier enemies capabilities and it allows them to settle scores that they otherwise wouldn't be able to.

Mutually Assured Destruction thoroughly ensures that a global war of that scale will never happen as long as such superweapons are relevant.

The worst conflicts you can expect will be like Ukraine: proxy wars with billions of dollars worth of ordnance thrown at each other but largely contained within the borders of a single nation at a time.

don't think ww3 is inevitable out of a population crisis but we definitely have too many people - we have enough resources definitely but the people at the top aren't exactly distributing
