I don't agree some people clearly only want to benefit themselves. They have a void inside that they need to fill and they don't care who they hurt to get there. The UK is a very clear example. You have a right wing media run by a billionaire so he can control the narrative then you have a bunch of opportunistic greedy selfish people who saw the chance to take power with Brexit and now the country is falling apart. People are dying because of many things this government has done. Homelessness, hunger, cold, lack of medical care, shortages of medicines, lack of mental health treatment etc.

I think the majority of people on this planet are too distracted to be concerned with saving the world. And, if you do care, not only are so many efforts just a drop in the bucket and, after awhile, exhaustion sets in. Even just thinking about it makes my brain hurt sometimes. So, I try to do just the little bucket drop that is within my capacity. Geez, not I'm feeling sad...

Well, not sure. A lotl of people are probably under the impression, 'I am allone I can't do anything'. Others say so but actually want to enrich themselve, and that leaves the ones that want and try but disagree on the how.
So yeah I guesss everyone is either saying so or actually wanting but only a few actually try and then disagree with the rest.

Another important thing they disagree on is what "the world" is. Some people see it as their culture, some as humanity, some as the planet, some as only themself, etc. But everyone has a world they want to save, yes.

No. I'm convinced there is a substantial faction that feels civilization has outpaced them and they prefer burning it all down to saving it and that right wing billionaires foster and depend on these people to maintain political relevance.
