I hate when a person calls another person a retard and says stuff like that's retarded.

The latest finding is that if a pregnant woman takes Tylenol during her pregnancy, it very well could cause the child to be autistic or retarded. I don't think these words should be used in gest
or of context.
Having a developmental disabled person in your family is sad, yes, but also very rewarding.
Find other words to use besides retard! It's not nice thing to call someone that.

Retarded is a medical term in origin.


Humans like to adapt words in their languages however and now the word retarded can also mean “fucking idiotic”.


Overly sensitive people have found a way to associate the two meanings and find offense.


The word “gay” is another great example.


It used to mean happy.


Then it meant homosexual.


Now it means lame.


But some people will still take offense.

I have a mentally disabled bro and retard is offensive. Tho I’ve caught myself saying it for laughs. There’s context and there’s numeracy.

If I accidentally said the n word once singing a rap song or quoting some story… versus someone who says it 15 times a day- there’s a difference.
