Why do some people have a victim mentality?

I’m not meaning people who were brutally raped or watched someone get murdered. I mean normal circumstances, like health or family problems.

It's perception based upon prior experience and interpretation. If repeated, reinforced, it becomes truth.

Once they fall into a negative energy pattern, it takes effort to challenge that view and "take control". It's easier to stay as they are, wounded, and blame others, than take control and take responsibility for their life.

Maybe in essence, they are hurt children that need nurturing and better training. It may be a function of personality as well.

Because being a victim gets you lots of sympathy and in some cases admiration and money. This is particularly true if you are a woman who claims she was assaulted or raped even if it didn't happen.

As a woman, I can’t imagine most women making it up. Although some probably do. There’s not always enough evidence to convict offenders.

It has become the norm in society today, and was popularized by liberalism and especially feminism. Now even men are starting to follow feminism's lead and play the victim. Pathetic.
